Freelance or full-time developer.

I write high quality software.

I can build websites, front-end and backend. I can design your architecture. I can host your website. I can move your data around. I can implement your APIs.

In my life, I follow minimalist practices. This translates to software. I only bring in dependencies when needed. My current favorite framework is Nuxt.js, which frameworkizes Vue.js, which is a super minimalist framework for front-end. Nuxt powers up Vue.js with backend technology to make it super fast, and keeps the code easy to understand. Nice code minimalism.

Having developed software for 5 years (whilst being very inquisitive), I have experience in a lot of technology. I can help you to scale your backend. I have experience with redis, MySQL, sqlite, NGINX, Apache Kafka, Docker. I have set up architectures on barebones virtual machines and in managed services in the cloud.

If you want to hire me, check out my LinkedIn, or my CV. I am considering full-time roles from Summer 2018, and 10h/week freelance work in the meantime.

I graduate in 2018.

I have been developing software for 5 years. I am about to graduate with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from The University of Sheffield. Whilst I consider myself self-taught, I was surrounded by software engineering modules which improved my skills. I learnt both Ruby/Rails and Java during my time at University.

Whilst at the University of Sheffield, I founded the HackSheffield Society, where I kickstarted the Hacker community at the University of Sheffield. I lead the organisation of two 24-hour hackathons, leading the raising of 5-digit funding. Events include HackSheffield 1.0 and 2.0 and other smaller events such as talks, workshops and hack days. In addition, I encouraged Sheffield students to attend Hackathons around the UK, boosting the University of Sheffield's ranking on the Major League Hackings leaderboard from not appearing on the standings (Fall 2015) to 20th (Spring 2016 season) to 2nd (2016/17 season).

We had no community in Sheffield for Hackathons at the start of 2016. Now, HackSheffield is well-known in the tech community in Sheffield and the Hackathon community around the UK.
